In simple words, Java is a programming language.

INTRODUCTION TO PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE
yes!, A programming language is simply a tool we use to create "computer programs" ( lists of instructions that tell a computer to perform a series of tasks in a certain order e.g software as applications)In essence, then, Java is nothing more than a tool you can use to write instructions that you want your computer to carry out. So in similarity, let me use an example from the kitchen to explain Java
This is a note to my younger brother of 6 years while am not in the house.

UNDERSTANDING HOW COMPUTER THINKS
Remember, I defined a computer program as a list of instructions that tell a computer to perform a series of tasks in a certain order.
Okay, so am not a computer. But if am to be a computer, that note would be a program. After all, isn't the note just a list of instructions asking him to perform a series of tasks in a certain order?
Look at it again. What's it say?
THINK LIKE A COMPUTER PROGRAMMER
First, look for matches. Put water on fire to boil. Wash/rinse the rice. Add salt, and then wait till it gets done.
If you've ever written a note similar to the one I left for him, then you have what it takes to create simple computer programs :)

There's just one important thing to remember: Computers aren't anywhere near as smart as people are. Nahr, not even close but they can be faster. Okay, if I look at a TV, a book or a laptop. Instantly I will know what am looking at. Unfortunately, computers don't have any such experience. If you wanted to teach a computer how to do that, you'd have to start at the beginning. In other words, you'd need to teach the computer how to recognize a freezer and a TV, how to open a freezer, and so on.
So we can make no assumptions when dealing with computers. In our programs, we'll need to tell them every detail of what we want them to do.
So that's all folks for today! Will be posting more on this tutorial very soon, Meanwhile, if you have questions. You can drop it inside the comment box and get replied ASAP!
