Actually, there are various ways h4ck3rs devise in order to get information about your account. Sure you can elude those ways if you are patient, smart enough to know you about to get h4ck3d and you are fast enough because some hack runs with speed.
Okay, today I'll be discussing one of the ways which is phishing. Alright people, in my own words.. "phishing is just a clone page, exact duplicate of a webpage". Okay, let me give a fast example.
Every page you see online is entitled to an URL address or link (let me break it down)
let's look at a static page of: www.google.com (URL address or link)
that page is entitled or programmed to one URL which is www.google.com
So when i said 'clone' ... it means we have the page but different URL (e.g geth4ck3d.com). The steps on how to clone is another tutorial on its own but it involves a bit about HTML and other web developing languages.
So in an instance , if any random dude can clone any page you see online, then that means you have to be watchful of where you enter your log-in details and password because the person can easily save it.(he freaking owns the page !!)
I wont be talking in-depth about how the whole process runs but what I will advise anyone is to to be mindful of any URL asking you to drop your private and personal information.
Make sure you check the URL because this kind of h4ck is rampant nowadays especially from random e-mails inside our Yahoo or G-mail account claiming is from our banks, close friends etc and they really come along with nice convincing cooked up stories.
